God's Calling Street Ministry

Our Mission:

God's Calling Street Ministry is committed to leading at-risk youth, gang members, ex-cons, current inmates, and individuals ensnared in cycles of violence, crime, or despair to a pivotal moment of change. Guided by the Holy Spirit, through the teachings of Jesus Christ, by the love of God the Father, we aim to illuminate the darkest corners by reaching places overlooked or avoided by most everyone else.

Our Belief:

"Redemption in the Moment" is our foundational belief: that no individual is ever defined by their past, rather each moment presents an opportunity for a different choice, and a new beginning. Through compassion, direction, and support, those from all walks of life can be transformed in a moment-the catalyst that every new Christian needs to live a renewed life.

Our Message:

The message is simple: NO ONE is beyond God's mercy. God's grace is available to all, irrespective of past actions or identity. Our teachings highlight that Jesus Christ's sacrifice was for the redemption of all sins, for all people—past, present, and future—and that is what offers us all a way back to the Father. This belief asserts that redemption is always within reach, and is accessible at any moment, through a single decision.

We base these beliefs on Biblical stories of transformation— the thief on the cross, Paul's transformation from persecutor to leader, David’s journey from adulterer to redeemed king, Peter's journey from denial to the foundational rock of the church, rage-filled zealots turned Jesus’ disciples, and Moses' path from Son of Egypt to the leader of God's Chosen People. There was a turning point in each of these Bible heroes' lives, as there is in each of ours. It is our mission to take that opportunity for change to the street— to those who've lived through criminality, violence, murder, abuse, despair, or other hard times, and show them the way by lighting the path before them.

Discipleship:

For those who choose to embrace it, we offer discipleship and accountability through regular one on one engagements, text, phone & email discipleship, and local ministry services and support. This is just the beginning of the ways that we can create pathways to bring the lost from darkness into light. Our ultimate aim is to disciple these individuals, so they, in turn, can venture back into the dark places, and bring the next generation from the shadows into the radiance of a redeemed life. In doing this, we fulfill Jesus' Great Commission which is to go and make disciples, not just believers.
